IBITGQ Members

The International Board for IT Governance Qualifications (IBITGQ) is a personnel certification body that focuses on qualifications and continued professional development opportunities for information security, business resilience and IT governance professionals.

IBITGQ’s Expert Panel (a membership committee within the structure of IBITGQ) includes individuals and organisations who are leading authorities in the management of IT governance and have made a significant contribution to setting the standards associated with the delivery of ‘best practice’ in this multi-disciplinary field. This includes experience in the implementation and audit skills required for management standards such as ISO27001, ISO20000, BS25999 and ISO38500.

Purpose of the IBITGQ Expert Panel

The Expert Panel is essential to the integrity of IBITGQ course content and examinations. It contributes to the ongoing development and maintenance of all IBITGQ qualifications.

Each IBITGQ qualification reflects the combined skills, knowledge and experience of the relevant Panel Expert. The Experts advise, review, contribute and maintain materials related to each specific qualification. This ensures IBITGQ can offer attendees the most current, relevant and reliable qualifications possible, and ensures those looking to rely on IBITGQ qualifications can be confident they are complete, accurate and robust.

Structured Learning Path – The Development of Expert Level

A key element of the work of IBITGQ Expert Panel has been the development of a certification programme with a structured learning path from Foundation to Advanced level. We are planning to extend this programme to include an Expert level designed to further enhance the knowledge and skills of more experienced IT governance professionals. To broaden the scope of this certification, the IBITGQ is currently exploring the possibility that qualification at the Expert level may also include certifications awarded by other Exam Bodies.

We welcome applications from qualified individuals and organisations (commercial or non-profit) who would like to contribute to setting the standards and qualifications of IT governance professionals of the future.
